By far the best source of business is from your recommendations. For every first time pass you get, you will receive four times as many recommendations as from other passes. But why is it that some instructors rarely get recommendations? One of the main reasons is, they do not ask for them. There are two best times to ask. One on that first lessons, they are excited and should have moved the car for the first time. This type of excitement is infectious and this is cascaded

out to their friends and family. At this time they will be open to being asked as they will want their friends to share what they are feeling. The second is when they have passed their test. Again they are happy and will want to share this.

Do not be afraid to ask for recommendations. Some instructors offer incentives like, if they recommend a friend then when the friend has had five lessons then they will get a free lesson or a voucher for something.
