Many people are looking to buy lessons as birthday or similar gifts, especially if bought in conjunction with the gift vouchers. It will be important that if this is the case then you do not call the pupil before the lesson however get a contact number of someone else who will confirm the lesson and that the pupil has their licence etc. I would certainly look to taking a photo with permission of the pupil on this first lesson and this could be gifted to them as part of the memory.
